Our Plea:
With the fall of the Afghan Government to the Taliban, almost all our former Afghan Instructors and Interpreters were left behind in Kabul, Afghanistan. They and their families are living day by day under the most severe conditions, not knowing if the next knock on the door will bring the Taliban, who are actively looking for them due to their service to our country while employed at the Joint Afghan Training Center (JATC). Every one of our loyal Afghan counterparts is on the Taliban’s Most Wanted List. Our faithful Afghan partners and their children are now living day by day, with little food to eat, and still hoping that America has not forgotten them.
Our Mission:
Our mission is simple, humanitarian aid and recovery efforts for all Afghan National Security Forces personnel; interpreters, and immediate family members, who were employed at the Joint Afghan Training Center (JATC), Camp Watan, Kabul, Afghanistan.
About Us:
We are the U.S. Mentors comprised of former military, federal, state, and local law enforcement officers who were assigned to the JATC, Camp Watan, Kabul, Afghanistan. Most of the US Mentors where retired military special forces members, and law enforcement officers who worked side by side our Afghan Security Forces counterparts training Afghan Law Enforcement personnel in support of the war on terror. These officers came from the General Command of Special Police Units (GCPSU), and the Directorate of Public Safety (DPS), who were taking the fight to the Taliban on a daily basis. Members from the GCSPSU consisted of operators from the elite triple tactical units.
Rafiq-Friends of Afghans is a non-profit group dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to "at risk", Afghan men, women, and children.
